Lamplight Crochet Tutorial: Winter Icicle Decor

Image
It's time to make winter decor. Nothing reflects winter like icicles, but most of the time I would rather admire them from the inside rather than the outisde. Follow along on my youtube tutorial found on Lamplight Crochet to make 1 icicle or a number of icicles. A garland of them would be beautiful to hang in the home. These are made from Red Heart Yarn medium weight in white and crocheted with an H - 5.00 mm hook. You will need about 3 inches of jewelry wire to string your glistening beads onto the tip of your icicle. Grab some scissors and a yarn needle and you're set. Enjoy! Lamplight Crochet Tutorial: Granny Square Baby Blanket

Image
Welcome to my blog! I want to feature my favorite design in this blog. You can find my granny square stitch blanket on youtube and can watch the tutorial to crochet along with me.  I intended this blanket to be used as a car seat throw for baby, but it can be used for many purposes for baby. The granny sqaure stitch is probably the most popular crochet stitch of all, and I have learned that it is not uncommon to find that many people only know this one crochet stitch. This particular stitch travels fast, it's very pretty, and highly versatile. Click on the video above to view my tutorial and make your own beauitufl blanket in no time! Follow along with me to make my beginner friendly Color Block Scarf and Ear Warmer. It makes a Great Gift!

Bold and Beautiful Color!

Image
Wow! Have you tried the Red Heart Super Saver Stripes collection? It's beautiful! My next design shows off the natural color blocking pattern that is built into this yarn. My NEW Color Block Scarf and matching Ear Warmer make a nice gift for self or another bold and beautiful color lover. My pattern makes a scarf to fit a 6-11 year old, but it can be lengthened for an adult. You will need only 1 skein of Red Heart stripes in the color Favorite to make the sizes of both for a teen. I demonstrate making the scarf and Ear Warmer set on my youtube channel with the color in stripes called Flamenco. If you need to size up, plan on getting 2 skeins, and all it would take to size up is extending the rows as long as you desired on each project before fastening off!  I used an I - 5.5 mm hook, and this project works up very easily using a Double Crochet stitch throughout the scarf. The Ear Warmer is made from an openwork pattern, and neither piece require edging. You can choose whatever ...
