Inspirational quote:

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."  Steve Jobs

I've created one new item with the camo lover in mind and another item with the hiker/outdoor person in mind.

 My own pattern designs.....

  • Camo Cozy will fit a pop can to keep your drink cool in the hot summer, and my new
  • Water Bottle Carrier crocheted in a pretty Red Heart dark solid grey which was designed for the outdoor person. It's nice to have a bottle of cold water along while hiking or hunting - hands free. Both items are pictured on the right and available for sale. Jut click the "add to cart button" and the prompts will easily guide you through.

Before we know it the 4th of July will be upon us and I absolute love the color combination of red, white and blue. I designed Patriotic Coaster Set with the 4th in mind. You can see them on this blog pictured on the right column.  I also have a Patriotic Can Cozy design.

As every hand-crafter knows, it's always good to begin working on projects a few months ahead of time so that finished projects are available in season. I plan on fully enjoying the beautiful summer sun, but am thinking about cool fall days ahead and creating a pretty black/sapphire poncho. I used the traditional granny square which works up fast and easy. Here's a peek at my unfinished project.

I am in the process of crocheting together eight granny squares for the front side, set on point, and I will use the same amount of squares for the back side. I am using a seamless crochet stitch to attach each granny square called the zipper method You can click on this hyper link and learn how to use the flat zipper method for your projects. I am using a 5.00 mm H hook and Red Heart Super Saver yarn in black and a very dark blue. I hope this inspires you to make an easy granny square poncho for yourself and you can choose to create in any color combination.

Thank you for joining me on this inspirational hand crafting journey.
